As the summer draws closer to fall, area high school football teams competed in 7-on-7 exhibition matchups at Javelina Stadium in Kingsville this week.

The event featured a series of contests that allowed each program to show their strengths and weaknesses.

The teams on Pepsi field included the H.M. King Brahmas, the Bishop Badgers, the London Pirates, the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions and the Riviera Seahawks.

The Brahmas went undefeated in their matchups by winning three straight contests.

London finished their day with a split win-loss record, after playing only two games, 1-1.

Bishop and Santa Gertrudis both finished their day with 1-2 records, while the Riviera Seahawks lost their three matchups on the day.
