The H.M. King Lady Brahmas lost another District 31-4A matchup on Tuesday, dropping a contest against the Ingleside Lady Mustangs in five sets.
The Lady Brahmas took an early two-set lead, winning both games with a score of 25-15, before losing the next three sets 20-25, 19-25 and 4-15.
The Lady Brahmas remain winless in district play, and have a one game bye before returning to their home floor to face Orange Grove next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
In District 31-3A, the Bishop Badgers defeated Banquete in a four set victory.
The Lady Badgers lost the first stanza 19-25, but fought back to win three straight sets 25-17, 25-16 and 25-23.
The Badgers’ district record sits at 6-3.
The Santa Gertrudis Academy Lady Lions dropped a non-district contest to Skidmore-Tynan in straight sets 25-22, 25-20 and 28-26.
The Lady Lions have played back-to-back non-district matchups and have a record of 5-3 in district play.
The Lady Badgers and Lady Lions will write another chapter in their rivalry when they face each other next Tuesday in a clash that could shape the outcome of the final standings.
In the previous matchup, the Lady Badgers were victorious over the Lady Lions in five sets, 3-2.
The upcoming contest will be a home game for the Lady Badgers, with the freshman teams leading things off at 5 p.m.
