On Monday night April 5, the athletic department of Bishop High School decided to hold a celebration and awards ceremony for the 2020-21 Bishop girls varsity basketball team.
This year, the Lady Badgers went 28-2 and went all the way to the Texas High School girls basketball semifinals, making the Final Four for the first time in school history. A nice crowd turned out for the event, during which the team, its medical staff and coaches, were all awarded their regional and state finals medals as well as the district, regional and state final trophies. Afterwards, they even got to cut down the net in their own gymnasium to drape over their state finals trophy.
